Djanet

Djanet is an oasis city located in southeastern Algeria. It serves as the capital of both the Djanet District and the Djanet Province, situated approximately 412 km (256 mi) south of Illizi.

The city is inhabited by the Kel Ajjer Tuareg people. According to the 2008 census, Djanet had a population of 14,655, reflecting an annual growth rate of 4.3% from a 1998 population of 9,699.
