Béni Abbès is a town and commune situated in western Algeria within the Béchar Province. It is located approximately 241 km (150 mi) from the provincial capital of Béchar and 1,200 km (746 mi) from the national capital, Algiers.
The location is also known by the descriptive titles "the Pearl of the Saoura" and "the White Oasis."
