Tipasa

Algeria

Tipasa, also known as Tipaza, is a city located in coastal central Algeria. Historically, it served as a colonia within the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis.

The site was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982. Although it was placed on the World Heritage List in Danger in 2002, it was removed from that list in 2006 following various conservation efforts.
