Hadjout is a town and commune located in the Tipaza Province of northern Algeria. It is situated approximately 78 kilometers to the west of the national capital, Algiers.
Historically known as Marengo during the period of French colonization, the area serves as a local administrative center within its province. The region is characterized by its proximity to the coastal geography of northern Algeria.
