Rouissat is a town and commune located in the Ouargla District of the Ouargla Province in Algeria. It is situated within the urban area of the provincial capital, Ouargla, positioned just to the south of the city center.
According to census data from 2008, the population of Rouissat was 58,112, reflecting a growth rate of 4.5% since 1998 when the population was recorded at 37,814.
