Guemar is a Saharan oasis town located in the Oued Souf area of Algeria's El Oued Province. It is situated near the Tunisian border, approximately 20 km north of the city of El Oued.
The town features a zaouia and a border post. According to census data from 2008, Guemar has a population of 39,168, reflecting an annual growth rate of 3.0% since 1998.
