Aïn Témouchent is a city located in north-western Algeria. It serves as the capital of the Aïn Témouchent Province and is situated approximately 72 km south-west of Oran and 63 km west of Sidi Bel Abbès.
The city is known by the nickname "la Florissante" and is characterized by its location in a narrow, fertile basaltic valley. The surrounding landscape features various orchards and vineyards. According to the 2010 census, the population of the town was 75,558.
