Lakhdaria is a town situated in northern Algeria within the Bouïra Province. It is located approximately 50 miles (75 km) southeast of the capital city, Algiers.
The geography of the area is characterized by its proximity to the Kabylie mountains and the Oued Isser river, which flows for about 3 miles (4.8 km). The region also features rocky mountain formations known as the grottoes of Lakhdaira.
