Bougara is a town situated in the Mitidja plain of Algeria. It is located approximately 20 kilometers due south of Algiers and sits along the N29, which serves as the primary road connecting Blida and Larbaâ.
The town serves as the capital of the Bougara District within the Blida Province. According to data from 1998, the population of Bougara was recorded at 34,100 residents.
