Suero

Dominican Republic

Suero is a fermented-milk-based condiment originating from the Caribbean coastal region of Colombia. It is characterized by a consistency and flavor profile somewhat similar to yogurt or sour cream.

The condiment is commonly served as an accompaniment for various snacks and dishes. It is believed to have been introduced to the region by Arab Colombians as a local adaptation of labneh.
