Vordingborg is a market town and historical ferry town situated on the south coast of the island of Zealand in Denmark. It is located within the Vordingborg Municipality in Region Zealand.
The urban development of the town is characterized by its lack of coherence due to three large estates surrounding the area. This geographical constraint has resulted in the emergence of three satellite towns—Ørslev, Nyråd, and Stensved—located at distances of 1, 3, and 5 kilometres from the main town, respectively.
