Hobro is an old market and railway town located in Region Nordjylland on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. It serves as the seat of Mariagerfjord municipality and has a population of 12,440.
The town is situated in hilly terrain at the head of Mariager Fjord. It is notably located near the former Viking fortress of Fyrkat.
