Frederikshavn is a Danish town located within the Frederikshavn municipality in the Region Nordjylland. Situated on the northeast coast of the North Jutlandic Island, it is positioned in the northern part of Denmark.
The name of the town translates to "Frederik's harbor." Historically, the settlement was originally known as Fladstrand before being renamed to its current designation.
