Holte is a suburban district located on the northern outskirts of Copenhagen in Rudersdal Municipality, Denmark. The local town center is situated around Holte station and is characterized by extensive areas of forests, several lakes, and single-family detached homes.
The district encompasses the old villages of Søllerød and Øverød, both of which are part of the Holte postal district. Historically, the area was formally referred to as Ny Holte to distinguish it from Gammel Holte, a settlement located several kilometers to the east that predates the current district by several hundred years.
