Frederiksberg is a city located in the Capital Region of Denmark. Although it is geographically situated within the region of Copenhagen, it functions as an independent municipality known as Frederiksberg Municipality, separate from the neighboring Copenhagen Municipality.
The area occupies less than 9 km2 and had a recorded population of 103,192 in 2015. Due to its compact size and high number of residents, it is recognized as the most densely populated municipality in Denmark.
