Farum is a town located on the northeast of the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. It is situated approximately 20 km northwest of the capital city, Copenhagen.
The town currently has a population of 20,558 and is part of Furesø Municipality. Historically, Farum functioned as its own administrative unit as Farum Municipality until it was merged in 2006.
