Dikhil is a town located in the western Dikhil Region of Djibouti. Geographically, it lies east of Lake Abbe and is situated approximately 122 km (76 mi) southwest of Djibouti City. It is positioned just 12 km (7.5 mi) north of the border with Ethiopia.
The town serves as the administrative center for the Dikhil Region and is inhabited by members of the Afar and Somali ethnic groups. Local agricultural activities in the area include the development of gardens and fruit trees.
