Tadjoura

Djibouti

Tadjoura is a city located in Djibouti and serves as the capital of the Tadjourah Region. It is situated on the Gulf of Tadjoura and currently has a population of approximately 19,000 inhabitants.

The town rose to prominence during the early 19th century when it became an alternative port to the nearby location of Zeila. It ranks as the third-largest city in Djibouti, following the cities of Djibouti and Ali Sabieh.
