Tiefenort is a village and former municipality located in the Wartburgkreis district of Thuringia, Germany. Since July 2018, it has been an integral part of the town of Bad Salzungen.
The village is situated on the river Werra. Geographically, it lies approximately 5 km west of Bad Salzungen and 8 km east of Vacha.
