Stanau is a village and former municipality located in the Saale-Orla-Kreis district of Thuringia, Germany. It serves as a local settlement within the regional landscape of eastern Germany.
As of January 1, 2019, Stanau officially became part of the town of Neustadt an der Orla. While it maintains its identity as a village, it is now administratively integrated into this larger municipal structure.
