Schmalkalden

Schmalkalden is a town located in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in the southwestern part of the German state of Thuringia. It is situated on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest along the Schmalkalde river, which serves as a tributary to the Werra.

As of December 31, 2022, the town had a population of 20,065 residents.
