Renthendorf is a municipality located in the district of Saale-Holzland within the state of Thuringia, Germany.
The town is historically notable for its connection to prominent naturalists. Christian Ludwig Brehm served as a minister in Renthendorf starting in 1813, and his son, the distinguished zoologist Alfred Brehm, was born there in 1829.
