Knau is a village and former municipality located in the Saale-Orla-Kreis district within the state of Thuringia, Germany. It serves as a local administrative area that underwent significant structural changes during the late 2010s.
In January 2019, the former municipality of Bucha was merged into Knau. Subsequently, in December 2019, Knau became part of the town of Neustadt an der Orla.
