Ichstedt is a village and former municipality located in the Kyffhäuserkreis district of Thuringia, Germany. Since January 1, 2019, it has been an integral part of the town of Bad Frankenhausen.
The settlement has a documented history dating back to at least 874, when it was first mentioned in a charter by Louis the German. Historically, the village featured a moated castle situated on the site where a manor house was later constructed. By 1918, the area fell under the jurisdiction of the principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt.
