Hallungen is a village located in the state of Thuringia, Germany. It was formerly an independent municipality but became part of the municipality of Südeichsfeld on January 1, 2024.
The village underwent administrative changes in recent years, moving from the Wartburgkreis district to the Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis district. It currently serves as a constituent locality within its larger municipal jurisdiction.
