Gossel is a village located in the district of Ilm-Kreis within the state of Thuringia, Germany. It historically functioned as an independent municipality before undergoing administrative changes.
As of January 1, 2019, Gossel ceased to be an independent municipality and became part of the larger municipality of Geratal.
