Apolda

Apolda is a town located in central Thuringia, Germany. It serves as the administrative capital of the Weimarer Land district and is situated near the river Ilm.

The town is positioned approximately 15 kilometres east by north of Weimar, at the center of the triangle formed by the cities of Weimar, Jena, and Naumburg. Its railway station is located on the Halle–Bebra line, which constitutes part of the primary rail connection between Berlin and Frankfurt.
