Wittenberg, officially known as Lutherstadt Wittenberg, is the fourth-largest town in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It is located on the River Elbe, situated approximately 60 kilometers north of Leipzig and 90 kilometers southwest of Berlin.

As of 2018, the town has a population of 46,008 residents. The city is historically significant as a center of the Protestant Reformation.
