Wethau is a municipality located in the Burgenlandkreis district within the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It serves as a local administrative area situated in the eastern part of the country.
The current boundaries of Wethau were established on January 1, 2010, when it incorporated the former municipality of Gieckau. This expansion integrated the neighboring community into its existing municipal structure.
