Staßfurt is a town located in the Salzlandkreis district of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on both sides of the river Bode, positioned approximately 15 km northeast of Aschersleben and 30 km south of Magdeburg.
As of 2005, the population of the town was recorded at 23,538 residents.
