Burg bei Magdeburg is a town located in northeastern Germany on the Elbe–Havel Canal. Situated approximately 25 km (16 mi) northeast of Magdeburg, it serves as the capital of the Jerichower Land district within the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
The town has a population of about 22,400 inhabitants. It functions as a regional administrative center for its surrounding district.
