Stadt Wehlen is a town located in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district within the state of Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the western edge of the Saxon Switzerland region.
The town is positioned on the right bank of the Elbe River. Geographically, it lies approximately 6 km east of Pirna and 23 km southeast of the city center of Dresden.
