Schkeuditz is a Große Kreisstadt located in the district of Nordsachsen within the state of Saxony, Germany. The city is situated on the White Elster river, approximately 12 kilometers northwest of Leipzig.
The municipality serves as a significant infrastructure hub for the region, housing the Leipzig/Halle Airport and the letter processing center for the greater Leipzig area. It is also the site of the "Schkeuditzer Kreuz," which opened in 1936 as Germany's first cloverleaf exchange; it currently serves as the intersection between the A9 and A14 autobahns.
