Marienberg is a town located in the southern part of Saxony, Germany. It serves as a significant administrative center within the region and was formerly the district capital of the Mittlerer Erzgebirgskreis.
Since August 2008, Marienberg has been an integral part of the newly formed Erzgebirgskreis district. As of 2020, the town recorded a population of 16,716 inhabitants.
