Kamenz

Kamenz, also known as Kamjenc, is a town located in the district of Bautzen within the state of Saxony, Germany. Geographically, it is situated to the northeast of the major city of Dresden.

Historically, the town served as the administrative seat of the Kamenz District until 2008. It is notably recognized as the birthplace of the philosopher and poet Gotthold Ephraim Lessing.
