Hohenstein-Ernstthal is a town located in the Zwickau rural district within the state of Saxony, Germany. The municipality was formed in 1898 through the unification of two separate towns, Hohenstein and Ernstthal.
The town is commonly referred to by its hyphenated name, though it is also frequently identified simply as Hohenstein.
