Zarrentin am Schaalsee, formerly known simply as Zarrentin until 2004, is a town located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. The municipality is situated on the shores of Lake Schaalsee.
The town's geographic position places it approximately 19 km southeast of Ratzeburg and 34 km west of Schwerin.
