Wolgast

Wolgast is a town located in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald within the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. As of December 2024, the town has a population of approximately 12,000 residents.

The town is situated on the Peenestrom and faces the island of Usedom. It provides access to the Baltic Sea by road and railway through a movable bascule bridge known as the Blaues Wunder.
