Dorf Mecklenburg is a municipality situated in the Nordwestmecklenburg district of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Geographically, it is located approximately 6 km south of the city of Wismar.
The municipality is notable for being home to the castle "Mikilenburg." This historical site is significant as it provided the name for the entire region known as Mecklenburg.
