Templin is a small town situated in the Uckermark district of Brandenburg, Germany. Located in the southern portion of the rural Uckermark region, it lies north of the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve.
Despite having a population of 17,127 as of 2006, Templin is notable for its significant geographic size. Covering an area of 377.01 km2, it ranks as the second largest town in Brandenburg and the seventh largest town in Germany. The municipality includes several villages, such as Ahrensdorf, Bebersee, Densow, Hindenburg, and Storkow.
