Rangsdorf is a municipality located in the district of Teltow-Fläming within the state of Brandenburg, Germany. It serves as a regional locality characterized by its historical significance and geographic position in the eastern part of the country.

The town is notable for housing an airfield that functioned as a commercial airport until 1940. This site gained historical prominence on July 20, 1944, when Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg departed from the airfield to carry out his attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler at the Wolfsschanze military headquarters in East Prussia.
