Luckenwalde is a city located in the state of Brandenburg in eastern Germany. It serves as the capital of the Teltow-Fläming district.
The city is situated on the Nuthe river, north of the Fläming Heath and at the eastern edge of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park. It is located approximately 50 km (31 mi) south of Berlin. The town area also encompasses the villages of Frankenfelde and Kolzenburg.
