Wöhrden is a municipality located in the district of Dithmarschen within the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
The town is notable as the birthplace of Heinrich Scheidemann, who was born there in 1595. Scheidemann was a prominent organ composer of the early Baroque period, recognized as a disciple of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and a forerunner to J. S. Bach.
