Wedel is a town located in the district of Pinneberg within the state of Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Elbe river.
The town is positioned approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of Elmshorn and about 17 kilometres (11 mi) west of Hamburg.
