Rendsburg is a town located in the central part of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated on the banks of the River Eider and the Kiel Canal.
The town serves as the capital of the Kreis (district) of Rendsburg-Eckernförde. As of 2006, its population was recorded at 28,476 residents.
