Doerpling

Dörpling is a municipality located in the district of Dithmarschen within the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. The settlement was first documented in a historical record dating back to 1320.

Geographically, Dörpling is situated approximately 17 km north-east of Heide and 4 km east of Tellingstedt upon Eider, where it shares blurred boundaries with the neighboring municipality of Pahlen. The area is noted for its historical water mill, which was destroyed at the end of the 19th century and is said to have inspired a tale by writer Klaus Groth.
