Bosau is a municipality located in the district of Ostholstein within the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is situated on the shores of the Great Plön Lake.
The town is positioned approximately 13 km west of Eutin and about 30 km southeast of Kiel, which serves as the state capital.
