Bönningstedt is a municipality located in the district of Pinneberg within the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is situated approximately 8 kilometres east of Pinneberg and 13 kilometres north of Hamburg.
The municipality maintains a formal "twin town" relationship with Seaford, which is located on the south coast of East Sussex, England.
