Barmstedt is a town located in the district of Pinneberg in the southern region of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated approximately 8 km northeast of Elmshorn and about 30 km northwest of Hamburg.
The town has a population of roughly 10,400 inhabitants. Due to its size, Barmstedt is recognized as the smallest town within the Pinneberg district.
