Bad Segeberg is a German town located in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. It serves as the capital of the district (Kreis) Segeberg and has a population of approximately 16,000 inhabitants.

The town is situated in northern Germany, positioned roughly 50 kilometers (31 mi) northeast of Hamburg and 25 kilometers (16 mi) west of Lübeck.
